Since 2012, Team 3944 has given Tempe students a student-led place to design, code, fabricate, test, and explain real technical work.

Every level helps students build and compete. Website recognition is active through August 31, 2027; printed recognition is subject to production deadlines and Tempe Preparatory Academy approval.

For sponsorship-recognition purposes, in-kind materials and services may be assigned an agreed value and recognized at the corresponding tier, subject to team and Tempe Preparatory Academy approval. Tax documentation and valuation follow school policy.
Ways to partner

A partnership supports hands-on STEM education in Tempe while giving employees meaningful ways to share technical expertise, introduce students to local careers, and strengthen the future technical workforce.
Monetary sponsorship
Fund registration, robot hardware, competition logistics, outreach, or a specific need.
In-kind support
Donate materials, tools, computers, batteries, electronics, meals, transportation, or other useful goods.
Technical services
Provide fabrication, machining, design review, printing, electrical support, or shop access.
Employee engagement
Share career insights, technical review, workplace tours, or mutually scheduled robot demonstrations.
Student and mentor engagement activities are coordinated in accordance with Tempe Preparatory Academy and FIRST youth-protection requirements.
Why it matters
Every contribution becomes student experience.
Students lead design discussions and carry ideas through the full engineering cycle, while mentors provide guidance. Their work has carried Team 3944 to a 2025 Arizona East Regional finalist finish and a 2015 Galileo Division win at the FIRST Championship.

Design, fabrication, programming, electronics, and systems integration turn ideas into a competition robot.

Events give students the pressure, feedback, teamwork, and resilience that testing in the shop cannot reproduce.

Students practice communication, project management, technical presentation, and career-ready problem-solving.

How sponsorships are processed
Business sponsorships and donations are administered by Tempe Preparatory Academy for the benefit of FRC Team 3944. Email us for approved check, electronic-payment, purchase-order, restricted-gift, or in-kind contribution instructions.
Tempe Preparatory Academy will provide any applicable donation acknowledgement. Donors and sponsors should consult their tax advisers regarding their individual circumstances.
